The theme, the mission, and the philosophy behind our business is “Today, Right Now.” Everything we do, from how our CSRs answer your call to how we load our trucks, is based on being able to provide what you need today, right now. 

We almost always have one technician on the bench to answer emergency calls. 

We stock everything–and we mean EVERYTHING–on our trucks, so we rarely have to order parts or run to a supply house. Water heater? Got it. Garbage disposal? Got it. Piping? Got it. Toilet? Got it. 

We want to help keep your life moving. No one has time for a plumbing time-out.

The 93-97% Rule

Per the “Today, Right Now” philosophy, we aim to provide you with what you need immediately. Not tomorrow, not next week. To make that possible, we carry inventory, and we carry it on our trucks. Which are huge, by the way–much bigger than anything our competitors run. Our goal is to have what you need 93-97% of the time. To be able to install it immediately, in the initial call. 

No going out to get a part, no, “I’ll be right back.” No, “I don’t have that in stock, but I can get it by Wednesday.” Nope–it’s on our trucks. And on the off chance that we don’t have it with us? You’d better believe that we’ll leave no stone unturned to get it fast.

Our goal is same-day service 97% of the time.

One-of-a-Kind Customer Experience

To us, our exemplary customer experience is one of a kind, and what sets us apart. One, as in, you only need to talk to us once, and you only need us at your house once. Here’s how that works:

• You call in to our call center. Your call center is answered by a friendly voice that relates to you and empathizes with your situation. We do our best to be able to say, “We’ve got someone on the way, right now.

• Within the hour (maybe two at the outside), a technician arrives at your house. The technician is friendly, clean-cut, licensed, insured, knowledgeable, and most importantly, listens to you. 

• Our tech will hear what you’re saying, look into the issue, and educate you as to what is happening. They will offer you options to remedy the situation and help you pick the right one for your home, your family, and your budget. We even offer immediate financing solutions in case the cost is more than is immediately available.

• Once you’ve chosen your solution, the fix will be completed in short order–the same day–with solid craftsmanship. Our tech will explain to you what was done, provide any relevant instructions, and leave you with any information you may need. 

• Our techs clean up after themselves, and leave everything better than the way they found it.

Community

At Full Speed Plumbing, we believe in giving back to the community we serve. Bo and Kimberly are both very active in their church and provide support to the charitable activities with which the church is involved. The company also supports youth athletics in the region, sponsoring tournaments and other activities.

Kimberly and Bo also have their own foundation that provides support for bi-vocational pastors. Bivocational pastors work full-time jobs in addition to serving as pastors for their churches. Kimberly and Bo help them by providing funding that enables them to continue to pastor for the small communities they serve. In their minds, no one should starve while trying to do good work for the community and fellowship.

Our Team

Every technician on our team is a certified contractor with an active plumbing license and has several years of experience. In addition, we look for people who are most like our customers. That way, they can relate to what the customer needs right away.

We also look for people who are motivated. They have the house, the spouse, the mortgage, and 2 kids, so they need to work. And, they believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. We want people who are going to not just listen to our customers but are going to hear them and empathize with them. And we want people who are going to do what it takes to keep the customer’s life moving at full speed because that’s what we’re about.

Where It Started

Bohannon (Bo) and Kimberly McKenzie started their business with you–the customer–in mind.

After all, who can relate better to two working parents with busy kids than two working parents with busy kids? Kimberly and Bo have raised two sons, who they adopted as young children and are now young men. They’ve been able to do this successfully by working as a partnership. 

Now, as a woman business owner, Kimberly has made this kind of partnership a priority for Full Speed Plumbing. As a mom, and as a professional, her goal is to care for the person and their need in the moment and help keep their life moving with minimal interruption.

Kimberly started her first business cleaning offices and houses at the age of 18. She’s been a business owner ever since. Similarly, Bo started in the plumbing business at 15. He started his own landscaping business at 17 and sold it at 18. Owning a business is not new to them. Owning a business that serves the customer is also not a new concept, but it’s rare these days. For Kimberly and Bo, it’s the way it should be.

At Full Speed Plumbing, we aim to keep your busy life running at full speed. No one has time to wait three to five hours or even three to five days for a plumber to show up. And yet, that has become the norm. Bo and Kimberly want to change that.
